Helpcode Italia is the leader of the Consortium responsible for implementing the project “DELPAZ Manica – Building peace and social cohesion through inclusive and gender-sensitive economic development“, funded by the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation. The DELPAZ Manica project is realized within the framework of the DELPAZ Programme “Local Development for the Consolidation of Peace in Mozambique”, funded by the Delegation of the European Union to Mozambique. 

The vision of the project, whose target Districts are Barué, Gondola, Guro, Macossa and Tambara, is that the consolidation of peace and post-conflict reconciliation in Central Mozambique is the result of promoting local socio-economic development, gender equality and social inclusion and the improvement of rural livelihoods through the provision of services to conflict-affected communities.  

The general objective of the project is to contribute towards consolidation of peace at subnational level in Mozambique, and the specific objective is to improve the livelihoods of rural communities in conflict affected districts, with a special focus on women and disadvantaged groups. The project has three outputs: (O2.1) Enhanced public investment and service provision in selected districts and rural municipalities; (O2.2) Increased adoption of climate smart and productivity enhancing agriculture technologies and practices by conflict affected communities; (O2.3) Enhanced market integration and off-farm economic activities of conflict affected communities.

Duration of contract: 6 months, renewable 

Deadline: 31st March 2024 

Objective: The project coordinator will lead the implementation of the DELPAZ project and will be responsible for ensuring that the project objectives are achieved in line with Helpcode and Donor procedures by leading project implementation, guaranteeing quality, efficiency and effectiveness.
The project coordinator will also contribute to the development of Helpcode presence in the Central region of Mozambique, in coordination with the Country Coordinator and Program Manager.
