General objective

1. Ensuing access to the area, registration and documentation

2. Reducing the risk of gender-based violence

Specific objective

1. Identification of risks and requirements for protection of displaced persons and returnees in all accessible districts, identifying primary needs in the most critical areas.

2. Promotion of access to civil documents and increasing competent authorities, prioritising legal assistance for internally displaced persons (IDPs) so that they can have the identity documents and civil documents they need in order to enjoy their rights.

3. Conflict reduction by providing communities with the tools they need to benefit in a way that is fair as well as socially, economically and environmentally sustainable.

4. Reduction of the risk of gender-based violence and prompt access to quality services for survivors.

Expected results

1. All survivors of gender-based violence have prompt access to quality services.

2. Gender-based violence risks have been identified with the community’s participation in all sectors and areas of action, implementing preventive actions to reduce the risk of gender-based violence.

3. Gender-based violence is prevented using an empowerment approach centring around women and girls, addressing gender inequality, discrimination and unequal power relationships.
