Over a six-month period (duration of the project), our assistance will reach almost seven thousand people in the Chernivtsi area, continuing our collaboration with the Ukrainian NGO “Enlightening Initiative” in support of the most vulnerable displaced communities.
About the project
In the first six weeks since the conflict began in Ukraine, more than a quarter of the population fled their homes; it is estimated that 7.7 million people are now internally displaced.
In the areas under siege, people survived for weeks with no access to food, water, sanitation or electricity, under constant threat of bombing. The current conflict has also had an equally severe impact on the economy, gender rights and society, worsening the existing gender gap and the risk of gender violence.

The total number of beneficiaries to be reached is 6,900 people, including 400 members of host families and 6,500 displaced persons. 50% of them are under the age of 18, 25% are adult women, and 25% are adult men.
