The project contributes to improving the living conditions of communities affected by conflict along the Cambodia-Thailand border, with a particular focus on the health, dignity and protection of displaced women, girls and children.
The intervention supports the social and material recovery of communities living in temporary camps, by improving access to essential services, safe spaces, basic health information and practical tools for personal and menstrual hygiene management.
To improve the hygiene and sanitation conditions, health and dignity of displaced women and girls in the IDP camps in Kralanh district, Siem Reap province, through integrated WASH interventions, the distribution of dignity kits, training on hygiene and reproductive health, and the strengthening of community protection spaces.
• Distribution of 300 dignity kits for personal and menstrual hygiene management.
• Delivery of 20 training sessions on hygiene, reproductive health, water safety and risk prevention.
• Direct involvement of approximately 200 women and girls in the training activities.
• Construction of 5 monsoon-resistant latrines in the main camp at Somporloun.
• Establishment of 3 Community Learning Spaces, one for each camp involved.
• Training of 2 local focal points to ensure continuity and community ownership of the activities.
• Coordination with local authorities and humanitarian organisations involved in the emergency response.
In response to the displacement crisis caused by the conflict along the Cambodia-Thailand border, Helpcode supports women and girls living in temporary camps in the Kralanh district, Siem Reap province.
The project operates in three IDP camps — Wat Sampov Loun e Wat Bo Khnar Techo — where many families live in precarious conditions, with limited access to safe sanitation, safe spaces and essential personal hygiene materials.
